Based in the vibrant, German port city of Hamburg, we are a diverse team of 40+ individuals dedicated to helping customers achieve their content planning goals.

When Matthias Kretschmer created Kordiam in 2011, he saw companies of all sizes struggling to find a tool that could adapt to the growing complexities of their content planning. After focusing solely on the news industry, Kordiam expanded to help communication teams and magazines as well. In 2024, our original name, Desk-Net, was changed to Kordiam in order to better reflect the tool's broader capabilities in content coordination across many industries.

Kordiam is continuously growing and adapting to the needs of a rapidly-changing media landscape. According to media industry publisher Kress Pro, Kordiam is the most widely used tool in German, Austrian and Swiss newsrooms, but we don’t stop there — working with media and comms teams from over 250 exciting brands around the world.

As our customers expand and publish across various channels, planning with tools such as Excel, Google Spreadsheets and generic task management platforms cannot keep up with their demands. Kordiam provides a content planning tool built for the needs of these teams and helps them control and streamline their complete content workflows.

In the future, we plan to roll out even more features and integrations to ensure the best possible user experience. Kordiam is evolving into an editorial workflow management tool to coordinate processes across multiple systems, such as a headless CMS or a Digital Asset Management tool.
