When editorial systems don’t talk to each other, teams lose time. That was the challenge facing Madsack’s network of newsrooms. Editors had to juggle Kordiam for planning, Arc XP for digital publishing, and EidosMedia for print. The result was manual duplication, missed updates, and slower workflows.

At Editorial Days 2025, Robert Müller from jambit shared how they solved the problem. The answer was integration.

jambit built middleware that connects Kordiam, Arc XP, and EidosMedia. Using Kordiam’s message queue and REST API, updates now sync automatically across all three systems. Editors no longer re-enter the same data or risk working from outdated versions.

This integration does more than reduce errors. It enables smarter workflows. Editors can trigger story creation from one system and carry key details like author, deadline, and text length through the entire process. It also improves print production, allowing teams to move stories between tools with confidence.

Smart article templates in Kordiam now support both short-form and long-form content. Newsletters are easier to assemble, with editors tagging articles and dragging them into place.

Next steps include syncing publication data from Arc XP back into Kordiam to improve planning visibility.

With this integration in place, Madsack’s editors are no longer caught in between systems. They can focus on the work that matters most, creating and coordinating great journalism.
