This blog post refers to Desk-Net, which has since changed its name to Kordiam.
Aptoma's content editor, DrPublish, is now integrated with Kordiam and is live in Nordjyske's newsroom.
This bidirectional integration allows for seamless updates between the two platforms, meaning that any changes made in Kordiam automatically reflect in DrPublish and vice versa.
How DrPublish and Kordiam exchange data
In Aptoma's "create an article"-dialog, check the box that lets you sync the article information with Kordiam. Even if you do not check the box, it's possible to select the option later.
When you create an article in DrPublish, you send the relevant data for story creation in Kordiam.
There is a direct link to the story in the article editor in DrPublish. Clicking on it will take you to the Story dialog box in Kordiam.
Other relevant story information such as platforms (called distribution channels in DrPublish), platform categories, deadlines, time slots (prime times), tasks, and custom fields are synced whenever changes are made in either system.
The Dr Publish and Kordiam integration in action
The integration between Kordiam and DrPublish streamlines the workflow for creating and managing content by enabling seamless communication and synchronization between the two platforms. In this integrated system, stories can be initiated in Kordiam for planning purposes and automatically trigger the creation of corresponding articles in DrPublish.
Conversely, articles created in DrPublish can be reflected back in Kordiam, ensuring both platforms are always up-to-date and all relevant information is consistently and accurately shared. This synchronization includes the exchange of essential metadata, such as publishing channels/platforms, notes, assignments, and more, to eliminate redundant tasks.
For instance, the story status in Kordiam will directly correspond to the production status in DrPublish, and platforms specified in Kordiam will align with the distribution channels in DrPublish.
