Technical and Integration FAQs
How secure is my data?
Building and maintaining a secure system requires many different skills, standards and technologies. Although we can’t go into every detail, the following overview helps explain why well-known publishers and international brands rely on us to handle their data.
- We have to adhere to German and EU data protection laws - some of the, if not the strictest data protection laws in the world. These laws regulate to a large degree how we as a company are allowed to handle your data.
- We employ a dedicated team of Quality Assurance personnel. On average we have a ratio of one QA staffer to three developers.
- Our technical team is certified according to the security and quality standards ISO 9001 and 27001.
- Your data is stored in world-class data centers in the EU.
- The data transmission to and from our servers is SSL secured.
Please contact us at support@kordiam.io should you have more detailed questions about our data security.
Can Kordiam be connected to other systems such as a CMS?
Yes, Kordiam can be connected to other systems and tools by:
- using our API or
- our XML export feature.
In case you have questions about integration possibilities or want to know if we have already connected Kordiam to certain systems please contact us at support@kordiam.io.
How easy is it to connect Kordiam to other editorial software tools?
You can integrate Kordiam with popular CMSs such as WordPress, Drupal, LivingDocs, Aptoma, WoodWing, Purple, CUE and the Glide Publishing Platform, allowing you to take a story from idea to publication without the hassle. Automation minimizes manual work, so your team can spend more time creating great content and less time managing technical setup.
Does Kordiam have an open API for custom integrations?
Kordiam offers an API that allows customers to connect specific tools and systems, such as CMSs, billing tools and more, enabling data export and workflows appropriate for your editorial needs. We can work with your team to develop custom integration approaches that fit your existing editorial stack.
How does Kordiam incorporate AI capabilities?
It is our beliefe that the AI era will require new, purpose-built AI tools, rather than simply adding AI features onto existing products. That’s why we are building Skimmr (an AI-powered story discovery engine) and Eximio.
As these tools evolve, we plan to integrate AI-driven capabilities into Kordiam — bringing discovery, planning and execution together in a single workflow. This reflects a broader long-term product vision that we will share more openly over time.
How does Kordiam handle data security and access control?
Kordiam applies role-based access controls and supports secure authentication methods such as single sign-on (SSO), ensuring only authorized users can access your data.
Enterprise customers can also activate additional security features to meet internal IT and compliance requirements.
